Mr. Samith is developing a food business that makes dried fruits and other products to employ people with disabilities. He is also working to promote barrier-free accessibility in Cambodia and to establish a caregiving system. He is looking forward to meeting new people and hopes that this NFT project will lead to many collaborations and new values between Mr. Samith and you.
■Profile of Mr. Samith Mey (42 years old)
He was diagnosed with polio at the age of 8 months and began living in a wheelchair at the age of 14.
"I can change society because I am a related party." He said so and established PPCIL, a center for independent living for people with disabilities, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2009.
PPCIL holds workshops to help people with disabilities become self-reliant, create barrier-free environment throughout Cambodia, and develop food business to create jobs for people with disabilities.
Mr. Samith is also a national member of the general department of disability action council to establish a support system for people with disabilities.

Mr. Samith said, “I want to change the image of people with disabilities in Cambodia and eliminate discrimination against them.”
In addition, PPCIL is developing its food business in order to generate sales and create a model for NGOs that support the disabled to become self-reliant.
PPCIL is currently in the process of building a new factory on the site where PPCIL's office is located , instead of the one they have been renting, in order to realize sustainable business and create more jobs for people with disabilities.
All profits* from this project will be donated to PPCIL to be used for the construction of a new factory and for operating expenses.

While I was a student at Matsuyama University, I established an organization to discuss social issues. Also organized lectures by people who are trying to solve social problems and organized tours to visit the sites of their activities.
After graduating from university, I joined Alibaba Japan, where I was involved in supporting Japanese companies in developing overseas sales channels. After that, I moved to Cambodia and worked as a manager at the largest Japanese recruitment agency in Cambodia for three years.
In 2019, I founded Social Match Co., Ltd. and has partnered with 107 social entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia countries and created more than 70 matches between Japanese and Southeast Asian social entrepreneurs.
I heard from many social entrepreneurs about the challenges they face in terms of finance, and I was looking for a way to support them. Then I met NFT and I started SociaRich in 2022.
